I’m not gonna lie. I love Nashville. It’s the only place I’ve ever lived that feels like home. (Well, besides the ocean but I’m a beachcomber; a girl with starfish on her mind and the roar of the tide in her ears.)
It’s only fitting that I should take the city skyline and make it look super old school with an ultra fast lens finish. Throw in some high speed film for grit and grain and it looks gen-u-ine. Can you hear the music drifting up from the taverns, the sound of city folk laughing in the night? Can you smell the horses and the musty Cumberland River in the night?
Yeah…I’m smiling too.
Sing a new song. Be colorful. Be loud. Strut your stuff. Use sidewalk chalk. Use rainbow sprinkles. Do it because you can. Do it because you are you!
Or you can just borrow your brother-in-law’s guitar (Gabe Gibitz) and take beautiful photographs with it. That’s what I’d do.
