It was a perfect, warm October day in Berea when Kayla wed Matt. She put so much detail into their storybook wedding. I couldn’t have been more excited to document their day. Kayla and Matt’s love has been a true test of time. Their love story in Kayla’s words:
“Matt and Kayla’s love story began in 2000 when they were in the sixth grade. It may sound cliche and mushy to say it was love at first sight, especially at 12 years old, but that’s exactly how the cookie crumbled. They were inseparable for the next decade! Matt’s chivalry and wacky sense of humor captivated Kayla, and Matt fell in love with Kayla’s kind heart and fun spirit. Like every couple, they had their ups and downs. But through faith and prayer, God brought them back together. Matt took Kayla to Shaker Village in January of 2013 and popped the question! The fairy tale became a reality on October 5 at Danforth Chapel in Berea Ky.”
Chioma and Jonah matched the surroundings of their engagement session: colorful and vibrant! Such a fun and darling couple! We met downtown at Gratz Park and worked our way through the streets of Lexington. They were willing to smile and have fun in the chilly fall air. I can’t wait until their May wedding. It’ll be here before we all know it!
It rained…for maybe three days straight leading up to their wedding. Even the morning of their July 6 wedding at Kings Way Assembly of God it was pouring. The rain ended after the ceremony enough for us to get in family formals- thank you Jesus! But our scheduled session of photos at the lake house later had to be postponed due to stray showers. Finally a couple weeks ago we all had a free moment of time in our schedules. We met at Shaker Village about noon for a lovely “day after” session. Wonderful couple indeed. Day After sessions are a great idea b/c there’s not the stress of having no time for photos on a wedding day. It’s what everyone should do!
Sarah and Travis chose a perfect fall day for engagement photographs. We met at Shaker Village for the session. WIth their sense of style and sweet love for one another the images turned out beautiful!
